What is Single Session Therapy?
If you have a question we missed, email us at hello@singlesessioncoaching.online or schedule a call with us.
What if my challenge takes longer than one session?
SSC is designed to be high-impact and focused, but not every issue can be resolved in a single session. If a challenge is too broad, or requires ongoing work, we will identify this in the intake call and advise on alternative approaches. However, even for complex issues, one session can provide significant clarity, direction, and momentum.
What if it doesn’t work?
The goal of SSC is to create movement and unlock solutions. While we cannot guarantee a perfect outcome, clients typically leave with greater clarity, a fresh perspective, and concrete next steps. If the client feels no progress has been made at the end of the session, we will explore why and whether an alternative approach is needed. No cur not pay sounds horrible but in essence its what we aim for.
How is this different from traditional coaching?
SSC is task-oriented, systemic, and designed for immediate impact. Unlike traditional coaching, which often involves ongoing sessions and long-term development, SSC helps professionals address a specific challenge in one structured conversation. It is not about incremental change over months but about making a critical shift now.
Can I book more than one session?
Yes, but SSC is not designed as an ongoing coaching programme. Some clients may return for another session to work on a different challenge, but continued sessions are not expected. Each session is treated as a standalone intervention.
What if my challenge doesn’t fit SSC?
Not every problem is right for SSC. The intake call ensures that SSC is the right approach. If the issue requires ongoing coaching, therapy, or a different form of support, we will let you know before proceeding.
Who is SSC for?
SSC is ideal for leaders, executives, and professionals who need to make a decision quickly; feel stuck and want a fresh perspective; want a direct, results-oriented coaching session; have the skills and knowledge but need clarity on next steps.
Can SSC be used for teams?
SSC is best suited for one-on-one coaching. While team dynamics and systemic issues may be a factor, SSC is designed to help a single leader or decision-maker gain clarity and move forward. If the issue is team-related, we will assess in the intake call whether SSC is the right fit or if a different approach—such as systemic team coaching—would be more appropriate
Is there a follow-up process?
An optional 30-minute follow-up call is available two weeks later to check in on progress, troubleshoot challenges, and reinforce momentum.
What is Single Session Therapy?
Since the 1980s, Single Session Therapy (SST) has emerged as a structured and effective approach to psychotherapy, gaining recognition for its ability to deliver meaningful results in just one session. Rooted in brief therapy and solution-focused approaches, SST operates on the principle that a well-focused, single session can be enough to create significant change—whether by resolving an issue or providing the clarity needed for next steps.
